Is there not enough money swilling around on Whalsay for residents to buy their own reliable ferry?
At least one of the contractors on the Viking Energy wind farm has experience of building tunnels. I’m sure a healthy deposit for a tunnel could be scraped together and a deal done.
Unst will soon be the site of filming for the expected new series of Thunderbirds, this will increase road and rocket traffic. Unst and Yell also have aquaculture operations that need reliable transport links to get their produce to Lerwick and beyond.
