Location: Based at SRT WORKSHOP, GREMISTA, LERWICK – ALL SRT PROPERTIES
Salary: £34,855 per annum inclusive of Island Allowance
Hours of work: Full-Time Post – 37 hours per week.

Overall Purpose of the Job

To undertake the role of Maintenance Technician (mechanical) in all properties owned and operated by the Shetland Recreational Trust.

Your primary trade skill will be Mechanical, and the role involves undertaking a wide variety of planned and responsive repairs as well as refurbishment and alteration works; tracing and repairing faults and keeping accurate records of all work undertaken. In addition to your primary trade skill, the maintenance technician will also be expected to perform a variety of semi-skilled cross trade work.

To provide on-call cover and response as part of a rota system, to deal with emergency maintenance situations which occur out with normal hours.
