Accounting Role – Training Available
Mackay Johnson Ltd is a local practice offering a range of accountancy and tax services. We are currently looking to recruit a new team member for our office at North Ness Business Park.
This is a flexible opportunity suitable for individuals with or without previous experience or qualifications in accountancy. Whether you’re starting out, changing careers, or returning to work, we would be pleased to hear from you.

In house training will be provided, and we are open to discussing apprenticeship or other qualifications.
The specific responsibilities of the role will be dependent on the candidate’s experience; but may include supporting the preparation of accounts and tax returns, assisting with bookkeeping, VAT returns, payroll, and general financial administration. The role could also involve communicating with clients, liaising with HMRC, providing general office and administrative support.
We’re looking for someone who is enthusiastic, reliable, and keen to learn. Strong attention to detail, good organisational skills, and clear verbal and written communication skills are important. The ideal candidate will be confident using basic IT tools such as Microsoft Office, maintain a professional attitude, and enjoy working collaboratively as part of a team. While previous experience in an accountancy environment is beneficial, it is not essential.
We are open to both full-time and part-time applications
Salary will reflect the candidate’s skills and experience
