Are you driven about progressing your career within the aquaculture industry? We have an exciting opportunity for a committed and proactive individual to join our Workboat crew in a Deckhand role.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Our workboat teams provide vital support to our marine farms across our Shetland estate. The Deckhand will assist with a variety of tasks including net washing, moorings, fish health treatments, net changing and, feed and supply distribution.

We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in aquaculture who is eager to develop their skills. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic about learning, committed to personal development, and prepared to work diligently as part of the team.

The role requires a flexible approach to working hours and duties in order to meet operational needs. A proactive mindset, positive outlook, and willingness to take on new challenges are essential. You should understand the objectives of the crew and be ready to contribute effectively to achieving team targets.

A strong commitment to health and safety standards is vital.

Applicants must hold, or be able to obtain and maintain, a valid ML5 or ENG1 medical certificate.

An STCW certificate is desirable for this role.

In this role, you will operate on a 2 week on/ 2 week off rota.
