As the largest provider of new housing in Shetland, Hjaltland Housing Association builds, manages and maintains homes from Unst to Sumburgh and is run by a Management Committee composed of volunteers from all walks of life.  We are community focused working closely with other agencies and organisations.

We are looking to recruit Committee Members who have a range of skills and personal qualities that will strengthen our leadership and direction into the future.  The role presents a fantastic opportunity to support and challenge staff ensuring we continue to provide high quality housing and services that our tenants and communities want.

We are particularly interested in recruiting individuals with skills and experience in the fields of Health and Social Care or Financial Management.

The Association is committed to equality and diversity and welcomes applicants from all sections of the community. Applications are particularly welcome from members of ethnic minority groups as they are currently under represented on our board. Applications from tenants would be particularly welcome.

Meetings are held monthly in Lerwick. Committee Members are unpaid, but reasonable travel and other expenses are met.

Closing date Friday 31st May 2024
