Paid for contentShetland filming to move to Burra
PEOPLE have been advised that filming for the Shetland crime drama series will be taking place in Bridge End, Burra on Tuesday and Wednesday (9 and 10 April).
Filming will take place between 9.30am and 9.30pm on Tuesday and 8am to 9pm on Wednesday.
No official traffic restrictions will be in place on this occasion, but people are asked to note that the large vehicular filming support unit will be parked at the Bridge End Outdoor Centre from this evening (Monday) through till the evening of Wednesday.
The associated car and caravan park will be closed for public use during this time, but access to the marina will be maintained at all times.
Assistant location manager Davie Gardner said: “Please be aware of this and the increase in traffic in the surrounding area this will inevitably entail – especially during the later evenings/periods of reduced lighting or darkness.
“We also hope to park our smaller vehicles in the car park of the Bridge End Hall, located in the same area, so please be aware of this likely-hood too, in particular vehicles exiting the hall car park onto the main road there.”
Should you have any issues with this please contact Davie Gardner on 07867 654 509.
