Crime drama team returns for more filming

AFTER a short break the Shetland production team is back on the isles filming further scenes for the next instalment of the popular crime drama.

The action initially focusses on the Mavis Grind and Islesburgh areas where traffic restrictions will be in place for five consecutive days from Wednesday 10 June to Sunday 15 June.

Assistant location manage Andy ‘Mod’ Ross said the team was well aware that the A970 is arterial route in Shetland and disruptions will be minimised as much as possible.

“There will be a Stop/Go traffic hold in place for short periods to allow the safe filming of action vehicles driving into the filming location,” he said.

“Vehicles may be asked to stop very briefly to allow this action sequence to happen.  These holds will be very sparse throughout the dates mentioned, and on some days may not be required at all.”

He added that there would also be some parking restrictions in place at Mavis Grind to allow for production vehicles to be safely parked.

Please see  maps below for more information.
