Shetland filming to focus on the South Mainland
THE PRODUCTION team behind the next instalment of the Shetland crime drama is advising of three further traffic restrictions over coming days.
On Wednesday (27 May) the road at Boddam will be closed between 7am and 1pm to allow scenes of action vehicles arriving to be filmed safely, and for crew to manoeuvre equipment on the road.
Assistant location manager Andy ‘Mod’ Ross said: “As soon as filming is complete and crew and equipment are safely off the road; the carriageway will be reopened.”
Please see map below for more information.
Also on Wednesday there will be stop/go traffic restrictions on the road leading to Quendale Mill.
These will be in place between midday and 6pm.
Ross said: “Holds will be very brief and kept to a minimum.”
Finally, the road beyond Quendale Mill will be closed from Wednesday 8am to Thursday 6pm for the filming of scenes and to manage production traffic up and down the single track road.
Please see the map below for more information.
