THE TEAM producing the next instalment of the popular TV crime drama Shetland will be in the isles for the next three weeks filming scenes at various locations.

As with previous filming slots, Shetland News will again carry public notices advising of the potential disruption.

Starting on Monday (11 May), the crew will initially be working in the Eshaness area. More details to follow on Saturday.

Location manager Andy ‘Mod’ Ross said: “We are aware that this may cause issues due to parking restrictions and traffic controls necessary to safely facilitate filming and apologise in advance for any inconvenience this may cause.

“We are in constant dialogue with the Shetland Islands Council roads department throughout the production process and take their guidance and advice on any requests we have made to them.

“We endeavour to cause the minimal disruption possible. To aid this, we will publicise our upcoming traffic restrictions throughout the filming period.”

The team take a short break between 28 May and 10 June, before returning to Shetland for a second filming slot which is scheduled to last until 26 June.

For queries regarding any of the upcoming restrictions, people are advised to contact Ross or unit manager Mat Johnstone on the numbers below.
