Filming for crime drama continues across the isles

AS THE latest batch of filming for the latest instalment of the Shetland crime drama comes end an end next week, the production team has given details of traffic restrictions for Monday to Thursday.

On Monday (25 May) a stop/go traffic hold will be in place on the Bardister road, in Northmavine, between midday and 8pm to allow scenes of action vehicles to be filmed.

Assistant location manager Andy ‘Mod’ Ross said holds will be kept to a minimum.

“We will also keep our stop/go points as close to our location as each shot allows so that we minimise any impact on the wider community,” he added.

On Tuesday, filming will move to an area near the Aquila Waste Management site in Gott.

Traffic restrictions will be in place between 8am and 6pm to allow action vehicles to arrive at the filming location.

Some restrictions will also be in place at Sumburgh Airport from Tuesday to the evening of Thursday.

Ross said: “We will be parking our Unit Base in a section of the car park at Sumburgh Airport from Tuesday 26 May to the evening of Thursday 28 May.

“It would be very much appreciated if all vehicles can be moved from the area marked in blue on the corresponding map before Tuesday 26 May.”

For further queries regarding any of these upcoming restrictions, please contact Andy Ross on 07963 713 446 or via e-mail jamiros@aol.com
