Paid for contentCrime drama filming to take place at Dales Voe over the coming days
FILMING for the new Shetland TV series will take place from Friday (5 April) through to Monday (8 April) inclusive at the Dales Voe decommissioning base in Lerwick.
A closure of the road leading from Rova Head to Dales Voe has been granted (see image above).
However, business and animal welfare related access will be maintained at all times.
These closures will be effective on the following days and times:
- Friday 5 April: road closed 8am to 8pm
- Saturday 6 April: road open (no filming)
- Sunday 7 April: road closed 11am to 11pm
- Monday 8 April: road closed 11am to 10pm
“During this time our large vehicular filming support unit will also be located at the Rova Head,” location manager Davie Gardner said.
“Please be aware of this and, as a result, increased traffic in the area too.”
Should you have any questions regarding this or issues with this, please contact Davie Gardner on 07867 654 509.
ITV Shetland said it would like to thank Lerwick Port Authority and Peterson SBS for their valuable help with regard to the Dales Voe filming plans and to Frank Johnson (FLJ) for his help with location preparation.
ITV Shetland is filming scenes for the ninth series of the crime drama until 19 April. Further filming will take place in June.
