Paid for contentCrime drama team prepares for final day of filming

ON THE last day of filming the upcoming Shetland crime drama (Series 8), final scenes will be filmed at a private property in Berry Road, Scalloway, tomorrow (Friday) between 8am and 8pm.

Location manager Davie Gardner said: “For safety related purposes and effective management of our filming location we have requested from the SIC Roads Department – and been officially granted – a ‘closure’ order for the section of the road detailed on the attached diagram.

“However, this edict will only apply intermittently during the day by means of a ‘stop/go’ system of traffic management.

“These ‘holds’ will only apply for a few minutes on each occasion before traffic is allowed to move again. As such, and barring this, access will be maintained and managed at all times.”

Gardner added: “Apologies in the meantime for any disruption or inconvenience this may cause, but thanks once again for your co-operation and patience. All hugely appreciated.”

Should you require any further information re this please contact Andy ‘Mod’ Ross – Assistant Locations Manager on 07963 713 446 or Lyall Gair (Assistant Locations Manager – Shetland) 07786 653 859.
