Base/Plant Operative
Shetland
A vacancy has arisen for a Base/Plant Operative in Shetland. The role shall support operations at Greenhead Base and other Peterson and client sites throughout Shetland as required. Duties will include carrying out slinger/banksman duties and/or operating plant, conducting pre-use inspections of equipment, loading and unloading vessels and general yard/quayside duties.
The candidates should be able to demonstrate the ability to work both on their own initiative and within a team and have good communication skills. They must also strive to provide excellent customer service and have a strong commitment to health and safety.
The successful candidates should have previous knowledge and experience in a similar role and preferably hold a Banksman/Slinger OPITO or NPORS Certificate. For Plant, Forklift RTITB or NPORS, Telehandler, Truck, HIAB certification and plant experience would be advantageous, although training could be provided to the right applicant.
