Emergency services / Police appeal after car stolen and later traced

POLICE are appealing for information following reports of the theft of a vehicle in Shetland.

Officers said the incident happened overnight between yesterday (13 March) and today (14 March) at Brentfield Place in Sandwick.

A white Toyota hybrid C-HR, registration number SV75 KWT, was taken and was later traced in Sandwick.

Constable Mirrin Siegel said: “Enquiries into the circumstances around the theft remain ongoing and we are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident to contact us.

“We’d also be keen to hear from anyone with private or dash-cam footage that could assist our enquiries to come forward.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting incident 1209 of Saturday, 14 March, 2026.
