Big thank you to drivers for observing the Highway Code

After a three month hiatus of not being able to use my electric bike due to a dead battery, I am now back cycling on the A970 commuting between Bigton and Lerwick a few times each week.

I have been pleasantly surprised to see a step-change improvement in road etiquette in the Soothend and I would like to say thank you to all drivers for what I can only describe as a quasi-religious observance of the Highway Code.

I’d also like to thank the fantastic staff at the Shetland Community Bike Project for going the extra mile in getting me back on two wheels – a 10/10 performance.
