Police / Police investigate assault near Anderson High School

ENQUIRIES are continuing after police received a report of a teenager assaulting another young man in the vicinity of the Anderson High School in Lerwick.

A 30 second video of the assault taking place on the path between the school and Clickimin Loch is circulating locally.

A spokesperson from Police Scotland confirmed on Saturday that the force had received a report of the assault on Thursday morning.

“A report was made to police regarding the assault of a teenage boy outside a high school in Lerwick,” she said.

“We are also aware of a video circulating online regarding to this incident. Enquiries are continuing.”

Anyone who could help police with their enquiries is asked to contact Police Scotland by calling telephone 101.
