THE RISING North music festival took to the Clickimin last night (Friday) as visiting act Pale Waves headlined.

The night was opened by the Poppadom Kings before Essykert took things heavier fresh off the release of their self-titled debut EP.

The Plonkys and the Dirty Lemons then warmed up for Pale Waves – the Manchester band who have racked up three top ten albums and have toured the globe.

Thanks to Marvin Smith for these photos from last night.

The festival continues today with an all-ages afternoon gig in the Clickimin across the main hall and bowls hall before Northern Irish rockers Ash headline the evening event.
