Arts / Crime drama filming to return to Shetland soon
FILMING for the eighth series of BBC crime drama Shetland will resume in the isles at the end of the month.
The crew will return on 30 May for a second block of filming, which will run through to mid-June.
The first block of filming took place in April as the team got to work on series eight, which is the first not to feature Douglas Henshall in the lead role.
Instead Ashley Jensen will play main character DI Ruth Calder, a native Shetlander who returns to the isles after 20 years working for the Met in London.
