Arts / Series six of crime drama expected to be broadcast this year
THE NEXT series of the Shetland crime drama is expected to be broadcast before the end of the year.
Lead actor Douglas Henshall provided the update on Twitter on Friday.
The production team filmed scenes for the show in Shetland over two periods this year, and they are due to return for more in the coming months to work on the next series.
Henshall, who plays the role of Jimmy Perez, wrote: “Series 6 of Shetland is wrapped! Massive props as usual to our cast and crew. Hopefully it should be with you before the end of the year.”
Fans were recently told to expect an “utterly compelling” storyline in series six.
