EMERGENCY services were alerted on Sunday afternoon following a fire in the engine room of the fish carrier Ocean Aquila to the east of Burra.

The Aith Lifeboat was tasked to Clift Sound but it was later stood down.

The Ocean Aquila received assistance from another vessel and made its way to Scalloway.
