Emergency services attend car fire near Tresta
FIRE crews and police have attended a car fire in the West Mainland of Shetland this afternoon (Wednesday).
Emergency services were called to the A971 road above the Cott junction and towards Tresta at 2.18pm, to reports of a car on fire.
Nobody is understood to have been injured in the incident.
A crew from both Walls and Bixter fire stations attended, and used a hosereel jet to extinguish the blaze.
The fire was reported to be out at 3.14pm, with fire crews remaining on the scene until 5pm.
Police officers were also in attendance, and the car was removed at around 5.30pm.
Police Scotland has been approached for comment.
