Delays forecast to NorthLink services due to high winds
NORTHLINK’S passenger and freight services could face delays in the coming days due to high winds.
The Hjaltland is due to leave Lerwick at 5.30pm tonight (Monday), with her arrival into Aberdeen tomorrow morning potentially being delayed by up to one hour.
More delays are likely on Tuesday night’s sailings, with the Hrossey leaving Lerwick at 7pm to sail for Aberdeen.
Her arrival on Wednesday morning could be delayed by up to two hours, NorthLink has warned.
The freight vessel Helliar could also be affected by “weather related delays” on Tuesday into Wednesday.
She will leave Aberdeen at 3pm on Tuesday, and is expected to arrive into Kirkwall at midnight.
The Helliar will then return to Aberdeen, leaving at 2am on Wednesday and estimated to arrive back at 11am.
