Coastguard search for missing person

EMERGENCY services in Shetland have been called out following reports of a missing person.

The new Sumburgh based search and rescue helicopter Rescue 800 as well as voluntary coastguard teams are focusing their search on the Brae/Muckle Roe area.

The Aith lifeboat has also been called out to assist in the search, which got underway earlier this evening (Monday).

The coastguard said they were unable to release any information and referred to the police.

Police Scotland has been contacted.
