Emergency services attending Knab incident
EMERGENCY services are attending an incident around the Knab area of Lerwick this morning (Wednesday).
Police, the coastguard search and rescue helicopter and Lerwick lifeboat have all been seen in the area, with both the lifeboat and helicopter moving out towards the Gilbert Bain Hospital and Lerwick Hotel during the morning.
The coastguard confirmed it was attending, and said it had been called to the scene at around 7.10am.
However, they could not provide further detail as the incident is ongoing.
The police also confirmed that they were attending at the Knab this morning, but could not say any more as of 8.50am.
