Transport / Yell ferry service to run at reduced capacity as Dagalien undergoes repairs
The Whalsay ferry service was also reduced to a single vessel on Tuesday afternoon following a break down
THE YELL Sound ferry service is set to run at a reduced capacity for up to two weeks as the Dagalien undergoes planned essential maintenance on her propulsion system.
The ferry will be out of service from 25 October.
During the repair period the Fivla will stand in to work alongside the Daggri, operating a normal timetable but at a reduced capacity.
Shetland Islands Council said staff will endeavour to provide extra runs in between scheduled journeys.
The Whalsay ferry service, meanwhile, has been reduced to a single vessel after the Hendra broke down on Tuesday afternoon.
