Three bands lined up for young promoters’ latest ‘Groovy’ gig
THE SHETLAND Young Promoters Group (SYPG) is set to host another all-ages music concert at Mareel.
On the line-up at the Groovy gig on Saturday 19 September will be Razor Heat, Sedso and Caliber.
Dom Bogle’s new indie project Sedso will kick off the night.
Razor Heat, meanwhile, are described as up and coming stars of the Shetland music scene, performing covers of songs by the likes of Foo Fighters, The Cult and Aerosmith.
The high-energy Caliber will also take to the Mareel stage, having played their first gig in a decade at last year’s Rising North festival.
SYGP said in a statement: “We are so excited to be putting these three bands together for the first time.
“We’re looking forward to seeing the dancefloor of Mareel filled with people of all ages enjoying some of the best of Shetland’s local talent.”
Tickets for the concert are available online now or in person at Mareel.
The SYPG is youth-led organisation formed in 2009 that runs events and supports up-and-coming musicians, bands and DJs in Shetland.
Operating in partnership with Shetland Arts and music industry professionals, the group gives young people hands-on experience in event management and promotion while delivering safe and inclusive concert experiences for young people.
SYPG said it is always happy to welcome new members.
