ALL SCHOOLS, nurseries and youth clubs across the isles will be closed again tomorrow (Wednesday) as the wintry weather shows no signs of abating.

It will be the third day off for most pupils in Shetland after some heavy snowfall and gale force winds at the start of the week.

The SIC’s youth and employability service, and the additional support base will be closed tomorrow.

Eric Gray @ Seafield will also be closed to service users tomorrow.

UHI Shetland’s Lerwick and Scalloway campuses will be closed tomorrow to staff and students. Students are asked to check their emails as lecturers are moving classes online or rearranging lessons.

Road conditions across Shetland are likely to remain difficult in many areas and public bus services could be disrupted again.

Anyone planning to travel by bus is advised to check the public bus voicebank in the morning on 01595 745744.

Loganair has already cancelled a number of Sumburgh flights tomorrow.

An up to date weather forecast can be followed here.
