Emergency services / Blue light training on the roads

Scottish Fire and Rescue Service will carry out driver training in Shetland this week.

PEOPLE are being advised that there will be more blue lights on the roads this week as a result of driver training.

The fire service will be running five days of emergency response blue light driving on the mainland of Shetland.

During this time there will be “multiple blue light drives” as staff undergo refresher training.

The fire service advised that drivers should not panic if they are approached by a blue light vehicle, and just pull over when safe to do so.
