Monday morning: The B9076 road is now open again.
THE THIRTY year old male driver of a van has been arrested following a single vehicle crash on the B9076 in the early hours of Sunday.
The male passenger was taken to hospital for treatment.
The road between Brae and Sella Ness/Sullom Voe Terminal is currently closed to allow police to carry out investigations.
A police spokesperson said emergency services were called to the road traffic collision on the “B9076 Scatsta airport road” at 12.45am.
“The 30-year-old male driver has been arrested. Enquiries are ongoing,” the spokesperson said.
Shetland Islands Council advises that an alternative route exists using the A968 Dales Lees road between Voe, Firth and then to Graven.
There is currently a 7.5t weight restriction on the Dales Lees road.
