Road closure for removal of power cables
THE A970 main road north out of Lerwick – often known as the three lanes – will be shut for an hour on Thursday night.
Shetland Islands Council’s roads department said the closure from 6pm to 7pm was for the removal of overhead power cables.
The closure will start from the Blackhill Industrial Estate and will continue to the Ladies Drive junction.
Drivers have been advised that an alternative route exists through the Ladies Drive road on to the A970.
