Letters / Poorly designed consultation
In your article Secondary pupils to return to classroom after Easter break, first minister confirms; Shetland News, 6 April 2021) it refers to a consultation with islanders.
This so-called consultation was on a badly designed Word form with just two questions which had to be saved and sent back as an attachment to a given email address.
Even the most computer savvy folk might have thought twice about returning it.
It was very badly advertised and I have yet to speak to anyone who had the opportunity to return it via other methods than online.
If this is going to inform the government of the wishes of island communities, it’s a poor show. I would expect more from our government.
