News / Police anxious to trace Leigha Williamson
CONCERN is growing for the safety of Leigha Williamson who has been missing from her home address in Scalloway since about 11am on Tuesday.
The 44-year old who lives at Port Arthur has been described as slim, 5′ 1″ in height and with shoulder length dark hair.
She currently has a plaster cast on her right arm following a recent operation to her right wrist. She has a tattoo of a rainbow on her left forearm.
A police spokesman said her disappearance is very much out of character.
Shetland Coastguard has tasked Aith lifeboat and the Sumburgh based search and rescue helicopter to help police in the search.
The voluntary coastguard teams from Lerwick and Walls are also searching the coastline near Scalloway.
People in the area are asked to keep an eye out for any possible sightings of her.
Anyone with information of her likely whereabouts or who has spoken to her since Tuesday morning should urgently contact police in Lerwick on telephone 101.
