Letters / Independence referendum in 2028?
I notice the SNP candidate, Ms Goodlad, made the following comment on Facebook: “If our Westminster MP wants to waste the last five weeks of this campaign on an academic constitutional debate then that is up to him”.
Her comment seems strange to me since her leader, John Swinney, wants Scotland to spend two years on that same constitutional debate before agitating for another referendum in 2028.
Does Ms Goodlad want another independence referendum in 2028? Or does she disagree with John Swinney?
As it happens I think that the constitutional debate is a waste of time but perhaps it would be better to spend a few weeks on it now rather than two years after the election.
