Why not move back and stand for election?

During the election campaign there was a group of letter writers and Facebook posters who were very critical of the SNP and of Hannah Mary [Goodlad, party candidate and now Shetland MSP]. Nothing wrong with that of course – that is the beauty of open political debate.

Since the election the same group has maintained constant criticism of almost everything that our MSP is trying to do for Shetland.

All politicians must, of course, be subject to ongoing scrutiny, but there is something very interesting about this group of persistent trows.

None of them stays in Shetland. If they are all so passionate about our islands, why do they not move back to Shetland and stand for the council in the elections next year?
