Denied live coverage of Commonwealth Games

If you live in the UK and wanted to watch the events live the 23rd edition (XXIII) of the Commonwealth Games from Glasgow – unless you’ve got access to TNT Sports or HBO Max – you’d be out of luck.

On the other hand, if you lived in any of the 74 Commonwealth nations and territories, the vast majority of these 74 nations have free-to-air (FTA) television or streaming access through local public service broadcasters and regional broadcast networks.

These include, Canada, Asia, Africa, Australia and New Zealand – to mention a few.

The only access we have in the UK is free-to-air recorded daily highlights on Channel 5.

It’s bonkers that Scotland is putting on the Commonwealth Games – but we in the UK we’re denied live televised coverage.
