NORTHLINK has warned that both of tomorrow’s (Tuesday) sailings to and from Shetland could be cancelled.

The ferry operator said the north and southbound sailings are currently under review for Tuesday night, with forecasted high winds likely to impact crossings.

Tonight’s (Monday) sailing from Aberdeen to Lerwick will depart an hour early, at 4pm.

The Hjaltland will leave Lerwick at the scheduled time of 7pm tonight, but her arrival into Aberdeen tomorrow also may be subject to minor delays.

Tuesday’s freight sailing of the Hildasay from Aberdeen to Lerwick is also under review, with a “high probability” of cancellation.
