Delays expected to NorthLink ferry services

NORTHLINK is predicting some disruption to its ferry services across the next two nights.

The Hrossey could be up to an hour late arriving into Kirkwall on Wednesday night from Lerwick, and could also be delayed by an hour arriving in to Aberdeen on Thursday morning.

This is due to the forecasted weather conditions, the ferry operator said.

The freight vessel Helliar could also be up to three hours late arriving into Aberdeen on Thursday 1 October.

She is scheduled to leave Lerwick at 6pm on Wednesday.

The Hrossey‘s sailing from Aberdeen to Kirkwall and on to Lerwick tonight (Tuesday) could also be subject to “minor weather related delays”, particularly in arriving into Orkney.
