NorthLink confirms Saturday disruptions as Storm Dave warning reduced

NORTHLINK’s passenger ferries are set to sail earlier than scheduled on Saturday due to the weather forecast.

The Hrossey will now leave Aberdeen at 3pm, arriving in to Kirkwall at 9pm before sailing on to Lerwick.

And the Hjaltland will leave Lerwick at 6pm, with her arrival into Aberdeen on Sunday possibly being delayed by two hours.

The freight vessel Helliar will leave Aberdeen at 3pm on Saturday, and is estimated to arrive into Lerwick at 5.30am on Sunday.

The Hildasay will leave Lerwick at 5pm, with her stop in to Kirkwall under review with a “high probability of cancellation”.

Meanwhile the Met Office has reduced the length of its yellow weather warning for Shetland.

It had warned of almost 24 hours of disruption due to Storm Dave, but the warning is now only in place from Sunday midnight to midday.
