Letters / Archives looking for assistance

We have in the Shetland Archives a typed Shetland dialect poem by ‘G.W.’ (Whalsay), Da Whally Dyke. It is based on Basil Anderson’s poem Auld Maunsie’s Crö.

It’s in an envelope addressed to William Wishart, Hillhead, Lerwick. The poem is dated 1918, and the envelope 25 October 1919.

Does anyone know who ‘G.W.’ and William Wishart might have been?
