Fair Isle Friday in photos

SHETLAND Wool Week’s ever popular Fair Isle Friday returned today, with folk across the isles – visitors and locals alike – ganzie-clad for the day.

The annual celebration of the island’s most famous export encourages people to don their best knitwear and head to school or work.

Thanks to everyone who sent in snaps, agreed for us to use their pictures or even stopped and posed for a Fair Isle photo today.

Shetland Wool Week 2026 officially comes to an end on Saturday 3 October, with a few final wind-down events on Sunday.
