Transport / Storm Babet set to cause misery for travellers
NorthLink says all sailings on Thursday, Friday and Saturday are likely to be cancelled
TRAVEL to and from Shetland is likely to be disrupted for the latter part of the week with a high probability of cancellations for three consecutive days.
Ferry operator NorthLink just issued an early disruption warning while the Met Office published a weather warning for Thursday and Friday as Storm Babet approaches.
On Wednesday, the southbound ferry will depart 90 minutes ahead schedule at 4pm, sailing to Kirkwall and then Aberdeen.
The northbound sailing will operate as scheduled.
From Thursday to Saturday (21 October), all NorthLink sailings are currently under review with a high probability of cancellation.
The company said that updates on individual sailings will be made nearer the time.
