News / Glen takes NHS board role
NHS SHETLAND has appointed Shetland College and NAFC Marine Centre vice principal Andy Glen as a new member of its board.
Glen, who has many years’ experience in senior management, education and training, worked for the local health board as organisational development and training manager for 10 years.
NHS Shetland chairman Ian Kinniburgh said he therefore had a “practical understanding of both the workings of NHS Shetland and also the challenges the board faces”.
He has been appointed to the part-time post, which pays £7,749 a year for a time commitment of one day a week, for four years from now until November 2020.
Glen is replacing board member Daisy Leask, who Kinniburgh said had “decided to step down from the board to concentrate on the significant workload arising from her new degree course”.
