Letters / Do you still support VE?
What you appear to be overlooking, Lee, is that Viking Energy had absolutely misinformed the public about the viability of the project.
Most people had no idea they were being lied to. They believed £25 million profit was forecast for the trust on an annual basis. That was why so many were willing to let the project go forward without protest.
Had it been known that the project was not remotely viable without a complete reversal of Ofgem’s tariff protocols, more than 800 would have protested loud and long!
As a matter of interest, Lee, now that it is public knowledge that VE is not viable, do you still support it and feel the £10 million probably lost to the charitable trust were well spent?
