Help Loganair communicate better
It is now the second time that I have been hit this year with Loganair cancelling flights due to adverse weather.
This time the cancellation was due to fog. Certainly, Loganair cannot be blamed for that happening, and for sure the ticket pricing takes into consideration those issues, and in particular, the expenses to be reimbursed to customers for hotel accommodation.
The problem is that when you place a claim, you get a claim reference number but there is absolutely no communication possible regarding processing timelines etc.
In reading a recent reader letter in Shetland News, it appears that this basic lack of proper communication with customers is systematic, with no improvement at all over time.
If you have also been experiencing communication issues when making a claim, please contact me with your details.
Your name could be added to a list that could become the background of an official complaint put forward at the Shetland External Transport Forum scheduled to take place on 8 September at 2pm in Lerwick Town Hall.
It is a three-monthly event held in public, thus you may also wish to attend.
