THE MV Hjaltland will leave Lerwick an hour early tonight due to the “adverse weather forecast”.

NorthLink said the ferry would now sail for Aberdeen at 4.30pm.

Passengers and vehicles are able to check-in from 2.30pm, with the final check-in at 4pm.

It follows a day of heavy rain and winds that caused disruption across the isles, with landslips on the West and South Mainland.
