Emergency services / Police and ambulance called out to incident at Upper Kergord
EMERGENCY services are currently attending an incident on the Viking Energy construction site in the Kergord valley.
Police, ambulance, coastguard rescue teams from Lerwick and Sumburgh as well as one fire engine have all been called to the scene at or near to the site where the converter station is being built at Upper Kergord.
The Coastguard search and rescue helicopter was also called out, circled the area for a while, but has now left.
A spokesperson for SSE Renewables said the company was aware of an incident on site but had nothing further to add at this moment.
