News / Crime on the agenda for improvised comedy collective
CRIME and punishment will be the theme of Shetland Comedy’s latest improv night.
The show at the Lerwick Legion on Friday (6 April) will feature a longform story entitled The Interrogation which will be improvised on the spot by local group The Imposters following audience suggestions.
It follows a well-received improvised pantomime hosted by The Imposters in January.
The improvisers taking part on Friday will be Alex Garrick-Wright, Ashlea Tulloch, Jill Charleson, Les Sinclair, Marjolein Robertson, Matthew Simpson and Thomas Jones.
Garrick-Wright, who will also act as the night’s director, said: “After the success of the improv panto in January, we’re all really excited to do a long-form comedy again.
“We went with the ‘crime and punishment’ theme out of a love of crime dramas, murder mysteries and buddy cop films. We’re really going to enjoy performing this, and we hope the audience will love it too.”
Entry is by donations and parental discretion is advised due to the nature of improv comedy. Doors will open at 7.30pm for an 8pm start.
