NORTHLINK ferry passengers trying to connect to onward flights from Aberdeen are now able to jump on an airport bus for easy transfer.
The company announced on Monday that the new service was operational as of this week, the start of the autumn holidays.
The airport bus will operate seven days a week leaving the ferry terminal in Aberdeen shortly after the ferry has docked.
A return service to connect to the departure time of the north boat is also in place.
Serco NorthLink said it had teamed up with Stagecoach to provide the service, which will leave the ferry terminal Monday to Friday at 7.35am, and 7.25am at weekends.
In the afternoon, the bus will leave the airport at 3pm and 5pm arriving at the ferry terminal half an hour later. At the weekend this service will operate at 3.15pm.
Managing director Stuart Garrett said: “This new service will undoubtedly ease travelling for our passengers, particularly those going further afield.
“Stepping off the ferry straight on to another mode of transport is extremely convenient for a proportion of our passengers who are increasingly looking for stress-free onward travel options.”
Bus tickets will cost £2.70 (single), £3.50 (day return) and £4.50 (period return – valid for 28 days).
