News / Ambulance plane off the runway
FLIGHTS between Sumburgh and Aberdeen are still suffering delays after an air ambulance plane left the runway of the northeast airport while taxiing.
No one was injured when the Scottish Ambulance Service aircraft experienced a problem with its steering after it landed just before midday on Thursday.
The Gama Aviation-operated Beechcraft King Air 200 plane had just arrived from Shetland with a patient, an escort, a paramedic and two crew on board.
All flights at Aberdeen International Airport were suspended for about three hours.
An investigation is under way.
