Lady Clark’s judgement has now rendered the Viking Energy wind farm planning consent null and void.
No longer can any rational person claim NHS Shetland’s director of public health Dr Sarah Taylor medical report has come too late to be of relevance and importance.
I note the following comments and observations from two health board members and Shetland Charitable Trust trustees.
“Trustee Drew Ratter, who chaired the trust when the report was commissioned, told Thursday’s meeting the only decision they could make was whether or not to invest in an “already consented” wind farm.”
“NHS Shetland Chairman Ian Kinniburgh observed that “the horses have already bolted” “He also warned that there were plenty of investors waiting to take the trust’s place.”
Events have now proven these statements as nonsense and irrelevant.
Drew and Ian, your comments now, please!
Your continued silence at this time will call into question your integrity and your right to hold the public office you enjoy.
What possible reason can you have for not supporting and acting on Dr Taylors report now?
Are you truly willing to risk public health for financial gain, however tenuous?
Ian Tinkler
